IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN. Weather's [hopefully] getting warmer. Want to get back into tip-top shape? This is just the event to help YOU reach that goal while helping some of Toronto's most neediest. For the past three years, we have been offering post-secondary education scholarships to youth who demonstrate a financial need as well as academic aptitude. We hope to continue this tradition. However, we will need additional funds to keep this going. This is where YOU can help. On June 22, 2008, YDCD is holding their 3rd Annual Walk-a-Thon fundraiser to raise money for this cause. Our goal is to raise $3,000. So come walk, run, blade or bike your 5K with us in "Youth Walk for Dreams" and support a good cause. Register online to receive your pledge form. |

 Congratulations to Latoya Shaw, the 2007 YDCD Scholarship recipient. Latoya is a 21 year old student attending York University.
She is actively involved in church, and is a member of the Youth Council and the audio visual team. Latoya also spends her free time participating in a street feeding program with Touch of Love Ministries. She is also a member of the choir. |
